More on Emmy

Haha... Emmy loves to sleep so we have less photos on her. (still 'pantang' that when baby is sleeping, not to take her pictures). And when she is awake, most of the time, she plays on her own as either the camera is not with me or i am 'busy'*.

*'busy' means either i am sleeping, lazing on bed, got drunk after DOM :)

Just Emmy

Who does she looks like?
Mommy or Daddy?

Spend Less and Live More

This Ikea motto caught my attention and i just love it! Think that it has become one of my most overuse phrase for the time-being. Thinking deeply, the motto is so 'profound'.

Spend less time worrying and be more happy
Spend less money on unnecessary wants and be grateful on all needs are fulfilled
Spend less time talking and listen/observe more
Spend less and live more... (just cut back on everything unnecessary from my life and gonna spend more timewith my 2 beautiful daughters...soon)

And now... i am spending more time on selecting a baby girl name...Elly and Ella/Emily/Elysa etc

Big and Beautiful

Was reading an article about Pregnancy and it simply lifted me to greater heights. In the final trimester now, i feel BIG and huge and gigantic and feel like a clumsy elephant! But after reading the article titled 'Big and Beautiful', it brings back smiles to my face, oh Yes, if you can see me, i am glowing happily thinking not about what a 'Big Fat Momma' I am at the moment , but the 'extra curves and flesh' means that i am having a healthy pregnancy and giving the best to my baby...(geeez, sounds so great hmm...)

And let's see the baby growth this week..(from Babyfit.com)
Gaining about half a pound (0.23 kg) each week, your baby probably weights over 4 pounds (2 kg) and measures over 19 inches (48 cm) long—what a little bundle of love! His knees will curl up towards his tiny chest as he begins to assume the classic “fetal” position. Because there is a little less room to move around in, your baby is a bit quieter now, storing up energy and getting ready for his grand entrance.

33 weeks prego

Time flies and now i am already 33 weeks in my second pregnancy. Had made up my mind to activate my maternity leave one week in advance. So that i dont have to worry and anticipate whether i will deliver in the office, LRT or during the traffic jam!

And also to spend some quality time with darling Elly before another 'meimei' will join the family. Yeap. finally the gender of the baby was revealed in my last scan few days ago. I will be getting another girl. Elly will have a sister to play with. Well, with the gender known, it's easier to make better planning. And imagining the 3 of us going shopping together simply thrills me... :)

Health is good, Blood pressure always ard 110/70 or lower. Only as the tummy grow bigger, the gigantic weight just make me exhausted easily. Baby's head already engaged and now weights a little more than 2kg. So no worry though if the baby decided to come out to the world earlier..

As Elly Turned 1...

Been busy both at work and home lately, that's y less posts here. Elly's babysitter has stopped taking care of her for 3 weeks now. Has been sending Elly back to Po-po's home at Connaught.

Share some of her birthday photos later as all are saved in Sky's handphone. Had simple celebrations for her with Po-po, Ah-Mah and Mommy and Daddy. Since she loved to be at the McD's playground, we celebrated her bday in McD, with some take-away pizzas from Domino..:)

As for my second baby, until now the sex is still unknown. Everytime when the Doc wanna scan, the baby will be in a position that hide the xxx part. So i guess i will get another baby girl, since she was so shy, 4 times scan also cannot see, huh!

But then, since Elly looks like a boy, many friends and relatives said that it would be a baby boy. Well, let's wait and see...

If it's a girl, they can be 'twins' since the gap is only 1 year
If it's a boy, they will make a pair

On this Date... 15 Mac 2007

Today is Elly's 1 yo birthday! Time flies, and so fast my little girl has turned one. She woke up as early as 5am today and sat up and played with my handphone(which i put under my pillow as alarm).

And myself, has been Mommy for a year and it will be a life-long job. The journey will continue...Ganbate!

Happy Birthday, darling Elly!

Light reading during Pregnancy

Cravings for food is normal during pregnancy but have you heard of cravings for books? Esp cravings for books by a particular/favorite author. Well.. I do...

In my first pregnancy, Lai Mung recommended me to read 'Undomestic Goddess' by Sophie Kinsella. It is about 'slowing down' in our fast paced life. I just loved the story and it did gave me a 'signal' to appreciate the 'non-material' assets I have in life.

And then i came across her 'Shopaholic series'. Has completed the series of 4 books. Recently, she has just released her latest book 'Shopaholic and Baby'. Well, after reading the excerpts online, I just cant wait to read the book in whole! And the cravings is just growing stronger...

Ladies, grab one of her book to read, you will just love it as much as I do!

Elly Quit Pacifier

Just to jot down a little 'achievement' of Elly. She has just quit her pacifier! At 2 weeks short of turning 1 yo, i left her pacifier at my Mom's house. Rather than going back to Mom's place to get it for her, we tried one night without it.

To our surprise, Elly did not throw much tantrums looking for her pacifier. Since then, we kept her pacifier on stand-by but never let her use it. But of course, it takes longer time for her to fall asleep as she will be 'turning around' on bed trying to get her best position.

What have i learnt:
It's not hard to train a baby/kid to do/abstain from anything but need time and patience and attention from us.

30 Weeks Prego

This is what has happened so far:

Now that your baby weighs about 3 pounds (1.3 kg) and measures about 17 inches (43 cm) in length, you’re beginning to feel that your tummy will pop if she keeps growing!

Your Baby: Your little cherub is starting to look more like a chubby little cherub, growing plumper and cuter every day. Her hair is growing thicker on the scalp and those lashes are lengthening. The hands and feet are now fully formed and baby's head and body are closer to normal proportions. Overall, your baby is beginning to look similar to how she will look at birth—just tinier. To prepare for her big entrance, your baby is now starting to control her own body temperature!

Huh.. and i am feeling 'bigger and heavier' every single day!

Lower Abdominal Pain

Went for a checkup at HUKM for lower abdominal pain (keft side only). Had been enduring the pain on and off for the past few days. Doc informed that it is normal and will happen during some pregnancy. The cause was due to hormonal changes and 'softer' joints and ligamen during this time.

As i had cyst earlier, Doc did a thorough scan to ensure that the pain was not cause by the cyst although i said the cyst had disappeared in my last scan. Perhaps due to the cool temperature of the room and the cool gel applied on my tummy, my little baby inside were kicking and somersaulting, making it hard for the Doc to make the measurement and to check the gender.

So now, at 26 weeks pregnancy, the gender is still unknown. But whatever it is, i know that this baby will be as active and lively as her sister. Mom and Dad helped to take care of Elly for the night while we went to HUKM and by the time we reached home, Elly was sleeping soundly. But the little baby inside me was still very active kicking...)
