Elly @ 9 months old
Elly is a big girl now. At 9 months old :
- she now drinks 6-7 ounces of milk
- eats more solid food ie chicken, fish, buns, kiwi, potatoes etc
- porridge/nestum wheat twice a day
- can crawl big steps
- stand with minimal support
- getting more 'manja'
- has attended 2 weddings
- no longer ask for milk in the middle of the night
- loves to 'self-talk'
- when she is happy/excited, she will beat people (and legs shaking too!)
- outgrown her shoes(which was a size 2 and wore only 2 times)
- and she definitely need a new collection of shirts
- will say 'Nen-nen' not only when hungry but when she wants anything..haha!
Bye bye morning sickness
Phew... i feel relieved as the morning sickness is almost gone. Now in my 18 weeks in my second pregnancy, i am regaining my energy. I 'suffered' from Week 6 to Week 17; lethargic, nausea, diarhoea(strange symptom!) and oversleeping(sleep like more than 10 hrs a day).
And i just checked my baby growth this week:
You’re gaining weight and your baby is too, weighing over 5 ounces (.14 kg), and measuring over 5 inches (13 cm) in length. What an adorable pair you are!
Your Baby: Baby's rapid growth period begins to slow down, but his or her facial features starting to form. Your baby can now yawn, frown, smile, and make other facial expressions. Taste buds have developed, and your baby can sense bitter from sweet, and swallowing reflexes are now present. He or she may even start getting the hiccups! Because baby's eyes are still developing, they're very sensitive. If a light is shined onto your belly, your baby might flinch and try to cover his or her face.
It's really a miracle watching the foetus growing and in another few weeks, i will experience the baby kicking again...makes me think back the sweet old times when Elly was in my tummy..:)

Best Christmas for me ... :)
Jingle bells are ringing and xmas is around the corner. Time flies and it is about Xmas time and New Year 2007. My darling Elly is now 9 months old, and watching her growing up so fast makes me wanna ask her to slow down if can..:)
Will try to find time to upload more Elly's photos. Some of you may wonder why it takes me so long to upload more photos of Elly. Yeah, 'something new' is keeping me busy. Ceng ..ceng.. ceng...
Let me announce... I am now 4 months pregnant! 'Huh! Some of you might be shocked!' It's no joke, though i was surprised on the good news initially..:) And this pregnancy is so so so so much 'different' than the first i would say rather than to say a 'difficult' one. Now at 4 months +, i'm still experiencing bad morning sickness.
Well, there will be new addition to the family. And I am gonna have the best Xmas ever..heheh:)
2 new babies, one inside my tummy and another one who loves to sit on my tummy.

Celebrating Daddy's Birthday vie Webcam
Daddy was away to US for work. On Sky's birthday, celebrated his birthday 'virtually', by having a webchat and let Elly 'sing'(babbled) him a birthday song. Though not being able to be together on Sky's birthday, the IT brought us closer, thanks to the invention of Internet and Webcam and of course MSN Chat!

Camera-less
Wont be able to share pictures of Elly for 2 months. With Sky away, I dont have his camera-phone to capture Elly's photos. Well, m still surveying for a decent camera/handphone camera. Still contemplating between the 2.
And also with all the brands available in the market, I am spoilt for choices. Pro and con of opting for a camera or a cameraphone.
Camera -- good quality but extra item to carry
Camera-phone -- always available to capture candid photos since it is a handphone and always carry along

Staying with Po-Po
Since Sky went to US, Elly and I shifted back to Po-po's house for 6 weeks. Lucky Elly, she will be full-time pampered by Po-po, Gong-gong, and 2 Kau-fus.
Elly will miss Ah-Mah during this time as we would not be travelling back to Sky's hometown. Nah, alone with Elly, I cant manage the big and small bags containing her stuffs.
Anyway, time flies and very fast Sky will be returning from US and we will celebrate the Deepavali and Raya holidays with Ah-Mah.

Away from Daddy
Sky was assigned to Ohio, US for work for 2 months. It had been a week since he left Elly. Guessed Elly was too small to know that Daddy would be away from her. When Sky kissed her goodbye at the airport, she shown no reaction, not crying or throwing tantrum at Sky. Or she knew it, but unable to express it?:)
When we have video conference at home, Sky will call her name and she will then looked at the TV instead on the laptop screen. Haha! She thought Daddy's sound was from the TV as used to watching TV together.

Shaved 'Botak'
Elly does not have nice and 'bushy' hair as some babies. Last Sunday, brought her to barber and shaved her 'botak'. Hope that her new hair will grow more. She cried thoughout the cutting session. Perhaps she felt uneasy when the barber held her head in his palm and shaved her hair.
So whenever I go outing with her, I will put a cap on her head. And guess what, more and more people think Elly is a boy in her new hairstyle..haha!

A New Tooth at 5.5 mo
After introducing solid food to Elly, I always try to let her taste some other solid food like rice, fruits ie orange, watermelon(just let her lick the food to get the taste of it).
I was letting her to taste a piece of rice when i discovered some sharp and hard surface on her gum. Opened her mouth wide and examined it. To my surprise , Elly has grew a tooth(on the lower gum, front-left.
There goes the saying--If your baby grow teeth fast, she will be a slow walker. Hmm. ... let's see how true it is...:)

Elly Many Firsts
Since birth to now, Sky and I were there with Elly for her many firsts. Her first smile, her first laugh, her first cry, her first turn-over, her first scream and many more. As Sky will be away for work to US for 2 months, we introduced solid food to her today.
We planned to only gave her solid food when she reach 6 months, but then I want Sky to be there for Elly to share one of her milestone. Gave her Nestle Wheat with Milk. Used a cute baby bowl and mixed 2 teaspoon of wheat with warm water.
She frowned when first tasted the food. After a few spoons, she began to love it and open her mouth wide each time she saw the spoon. Curious about the taste of the food, Sky and I also took a spoon of the wheat each. And it was really delicious. No wonder dear Elly love the food so much.
