Elly First Dental Visit and Blood test

Elly had swollen and bleeding gums for one week plus so after not much improvement with medicine from a general practitioner, brought Elly to a dentist, Dr Sum. Elly was 'obedient', quietly climbing up the chair, getting ready to be checked by the dentist.

Doctor checked for a few times on her swollen gums and looked 'serious'. When asked, he said that he has not seen such serious case on a kid and advised get her blood checked. This made me more worried. Checked my post on it here.
Quickly brought her to Dr Leong and Ho's clinic to get a referal letter to specialist to check Elly's blood. Dr on duty was relaxed. asked not to worry. Since i insisted, he agreed to do the blood test at his clinic(quite advance as result is out after 10 minutes)

Changed the cotton bandage to a cute blue bunny tape for Elly. As though i knew that it would be used, i purposely put it in Elly's bag in the morning.

Playing stickers while waiting for blood result. Negative for leukimia, and need wait one week for Thalasemia test(myself is a carrier). Update: Elly is free from Thalasemia too..:)

Conversations with Elly & Emmy

Scene 1: Emmy(lil sister is naughty)
Mommy: Elly, i think i am going to send Meimei(lil sister) to Abang's house.
('Abang' means big brother and here we refer to the fierce and stout policeman, guard
etc)
Elly : No, you cannot send her away. She is my lil sister, remember?
Mommy: But she is naughty. And you always fight with her too.
Elly : No, Mommy! She's my lil sister. I want him. You cannot send him away!
Mommy:Say I want her. She's a girl, so use her, not him.
Elly : Mommy, i want herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Mommy : Then, can you promise that you wont fight with her anymore?
Elly : Well, errr..... Woooooooh K(OK like cartoon)
Mommy : [smiley]

Scene 2 : Uncle Seng's right arm is bandaged
Elly : 'Shu-shu'(uncle), what happen to your hand?
Uncle : Fell down, Pain pain.
Elly : Dont worry. Tomorrow (late evening that time), i buy you some cream and you will
feel so much better. OK?

Ahmah : Ayi(Emmy), do you want to try the durian? Its sweet and nice. (in mandarin)
Emmy : [closing her nose and mouth with both hands]

Mother's Day @ Renaissance Hotel

Renaissance hotel was having promotion buffet Timsum at RM28++ . The food was so-so only, with not much variety. Though said 28 variety for RM28, but the steamed timsum was only 11 types. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the good time together at the nice restaurant.

We also went to the swimming pool and Elly and Emmy loved to stroll around...:)

Happy Birthday Emmy

Emmy has turned 2. On her birthday, Mommy and Daddy took leave to spend time with Emmy and Elly. Started the day with a simple breakfast, then went to Connaught for lunch. Plan to have cake for dessert at Leisure Mall not accomplished when Emmy vomited.

Went home and cooked ABC soup for Emmy. Happy birthday Emmy. This is a simple celebration.

Creative Emmy

Thank to Amira and my cousin sister, ABe, Elly and Emmy each has a Barbie doll. Lucky girls of mine, each having a Barbie doll at such a tender age. I was longing for one too when i was small and am so happy that they are able to own what I dont have when i was young.

They now like to dress and undress the dolls. Emmy was even very creative, by removing the jeans of Barbie half way, and said 'Shhhh...shhhh' (just like the way i potty train her).

Italiannies - Delicious Food

Very challenging to take a 'nice' photo with Elly looking at the camera. anyway, candid is natural too. Elly trying the cute furniture for kids @ Ikea and sharing some lite moments with Mommy @ Italiannies.

Enjoying delicious food in Italiannies, food are in bigger portion, and the strawberry shake, Elly's favorite is the best so far here. compared to Hainanese coffeehouse and Coffee Bean's Malibu(strawberry banana)

Italiannies is available in Gardens Midvalley, The Curve, and Sunway Pyramid. Oh, by the way, there is free kid's meal with every order of adult's meal. Bring your kids there, i am sure they gonna love the food and you will love the atmosphere.

Elly's Day out in Ikea

"I can do it, all by myself"

Elly practise self-dependent since small. Now 3 years old and being a bubbly girl, she loves to takes care of her own self-being. When i offer help to remove her pants, pampers(still potty train her to pass motion), she will say,"I can do it, all by myself".

Guess she learns the phrases from Disney Playhouse channel, which is a good thing to have at home. I am marvelled by her 'fast-growing' vocabulary and choice of words at a mere 3 yo. But then, she converse less and then zero-Mandarin, making me worried that she will totally forget that she is Chinese and importance of Mandarin.

Perhaps i am pushing her too hard too. Lets nature takes care of it and gradually i am sure that she will pick up Mandarin again.
